“I’ve traveled around the world providing dental services for people in need, but there also is a big backlog of work here in DFW. It’s a gift to use my career skills in service to God’s Kingdom. This is about much more than the number of teeth we take care of in a given day. It’s about engaging with patients at a vulnerable time and meeting their spiritual needs.”

Our clinics offer Urgent Care, Dental Extractions and Cleanings, Hypertension Management, and Early Prenatal Care. If your specialty fits within the scope of one of these service lines, we'd be happy to have you join us on site! If your specialty is outside the scope of these services, you might consider one of our specialty service areas; consult, referral, or satellite clinics.
Please note, because of the dynamic nature of our clinics and our unique patient population we require providers to have at least one year of experience post-graduation prior to serving in a provider role on site. Many providers chose to serve in the RN/Tech role during this period to grow in comfort with the context of the ministry as well as begin practicing sharing their faith.

Referral volunteers typically work at or own a private practice that has the flexibility to take patients at their discretion for low or no cost values. Our team will work closely with you, your clinic's leadership, and the intake or front desk team to build a process that will serve you well as you see some of our Watermark Urgent Care patients for low or no cost services.
As we work together to build a process that works for well for you, you'll have the opportunity to set expectations on patient volume, requirements, and referral processes.

Consult volunteers will be put on a HIPAA compliant messaging tool with our clinic staff providers, so they will then be able to send questions related to their specialty. Consult volunteers are asked to monitor the messaging tool periodically and as able respond to questions and inquiries. Same day responses are ideal, but it's understood there will be time volunteers are unavailable.
Additionally, consult volunteers may be asked to provide Watermark Health clinical staff for various trainings related to their specialty. The requests for this type of training would depend on their specialty and the frequency of that type of patient case on site.

Satellite volunteers typically work at or own a private practice that has the flexibility to make decisions about the use of the facility. Satellite locations allow us to use their location and sometimes their staff teams as well. Watermark Health will host a day of services with Watermark Health patients and a combination of volunteers and Satellite clinic staff. These events can be an exciting opportunity not to only provide additional medical care for patients with limited access but to also expose your staff team to Christian ministry.

Yes!
Because our ministry is centered on sharing the gospel, we do expect all volunteers to believe and live according to that gospel message. To help evaluate if Watermark Health is a good fit for serving, our application includes questions about your faith in Jesus Christ, your biblical beliefs, and church membership.
If you are unfamiliar with the gospel message of Jesus Christ, we'd love to connect with you! Email us at volunteer@watermarkhealth.org.

No! While Watermark Community Church helped to launch Watermark Health, we are a separate organization and welcome and love serving with volunteers from a variety of churches! We do expect our volunteers to be members of a local body of Christ or pursuing membership.
As a volunteer you will need to affirm you align with our core beliefs, outlined in the Belief Statement of Watermark Community Church.
Check out this resource if you would like to know why we believe participation and commitment in a local church body is a normal act of obedience for all believers in Jesus Christ.
